About Verite Winery
Verite was founded in 1998 by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke with French vigneron Pierre Seillan, who set out to make Bordeaux-inspired blends from Sonoma County hillside fruit. The winery sits on Thomas Rd outside Healdsburg.
Three wines define the house: La Muse built around Merlot, La Joie around Cabernet Sauvignon and Le Desir around Cabernet Franc. The blends draw on mountain and hillside vineyards across Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, Knights Valley and Bennett Valley, and have earned some of the highest critical scores of any American winery.
