About Willamette Valley Vineyards

Jim Bernau founded Willamette Valley Vineyards in 1983 on an old plum orchard above Turner and financed it a way nobody had: by selling ownership to the public, building a community of thousands of wine-loving shareholders that still defines the company. The estate grew into one of Oregon's most visible houses, with a hilltop hospitality center, satellite tasting rooms statewide and a serious sparkling program.

Estate Pinot Noir leads a broad, sustainably farmed portfolio, and the shareholder-owner model keeps the brand's populist spirit genuine. Oregon wine, publicly owned and proudly so.

Jim Bernau's 1983 shareholder experiment: thousands of owner-fans behind Oregon's most visible estate.
