About Winter Park Winery
Winter Park Winery is a small, locally owned winery in downtown Fraser, along U.S. Highway 40 near the Winter Park ski resort in Grand County. It prides itself on its wine, small-town charm, and welcoming mountain atmosphere, crushing and pressing its grapes at 9,000 feet.
The winery brings in more than twenty tons of grapes and makes roughly a thousand cases a year, offering reds, whites, a port, and a range of reserves by the glass, bottle, and case, with the Grateful Red a frequent favorite. The tasting room seats about twenty and is decorated with local art, and many of the wine labels are paintings by a local artist, so it doubles as a small gallery. Open year-round, it makes a fun, low-key stop in a family ski town, with cheese and crackers on hand and space available for private events.
Hours, tasting fees, and reservation policies change with the season, so it is worth checking the winery's website or calling ahead before you visit, especially on weekends. The details on this profile may have shifted since publication, and the producer is always the most authoritative source.
A great family ski town, and something fun and different to do off the snow.
