Bianchi Winery at 2900 Union Road in Paso Robles is a family-owned estate founded in 2002, producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in the El Pomar District on Paso Robles' eastern side. The Bianchi family — whose Italian heritage is reflected in the name — has spent over two decades farming their Union Road estate and developing the kind of vineyard knowledge that only sustained, single-estate commitment can build.
The El Pomar District location gives Bianchi access to the warm, well-drained soils that produce concentrated, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah — the varieties that thrive in Paso Robles' warm, dry growing conditions and produce the generous, fruit-forward style that has made the region's red wines so popular with California wine drinkers. The estate Pinot Noir program draws from cooler blocks on the property where the diurnal temperature swing moderates ripening.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 11am to 5pm with a $15 tasting fee, and the Union Road estate location — away from the downtown crowds but easily accessible from the main wine trail routes — offers a more agricultural and personal experience than the urban tasting rooms.
