About CADE Estate Winery
CADE Estate Winery is positioned high on Howell Mountain, approximately 1,850 feet above the Napa Valley floor. The modern estate uses broad views, a contemporary hospitality building and caves to create an experience that feels distinctly different from Oakville or Rutherford tasting rooms. Its official story also connects the property's design to environmental planning, including LEED Gold certification and organically farmed estate vineyards.
The current-release tasting is a 60-minute seated appointment featuring Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The format links the wines to Howell Mountain elevation, vineyard practices and the design of the winery rather than promising a long production tour with every booking. Current published pricing is $100 per guest. Larger parties require direct coordination with the estate manager.
CADE is open daily by appointment from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The visitor rules are unusually clear: every guest must be age 21 or older, including no infants or children, and pets are not allowed. Only certified service animals may enter. Those restrictions should be prominent because they can materially affect a group itinerary and should not be buried in general copy about views or architecture.
The drive into the Howell Mountain area requires more time than a valley-floor stop, and mobile service can be inconsistent. Visitors should save directions, arrive sober and allow enough space between appointments. CADE is best for adult travelers interested in mountain Cabernet, modern winery design and a controlled seated experience. It is part of the PlumpJack collection, but the physical property, wines and visitor requirements are distinct from PlumpJack Estate, Odette and 13th Vineyard. Wino Notion should preserve those separate location records and direct each traveler to the correct address.

"Wino Notion likes how CADE makes elevation, architecture and vineyard practice part of one coherent visit. The adult-only appointment is highly structured, but the dramatic Howell Mountain setting gives the $100 tasting a clear sense of place."
