About Cardinale Estate
Cardinale is a Jackson Family Wines property built around a stone winery on Highway 29 in Oakville, recently given a yearlong renovation that emphasized repurposed materials and contemporary design over the historic structure. The brand's identity, however, is rooted about 2,000 feet up in the Mayacamas Mountains, where Cardinale has farmed organic, low-yield Mt. Veeder vineyards on volcanic soil for some 30 years.
Winemaker Christopher Carpenter crafts the flagship Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Intrada Sauvignon Blanc, Caladan Cabernet Franc, and a proprietary red blend, all built for small, limited-availability release through the winery's mailing list. Visits to the Oakville estate are prepaid and reservation-only, ranging from an introductory flight to a library-bottle experience and an outdoor Mt. Veeder vineyard tour.
