About Clark-Claudon Vineyards
Clark-Claudon Vineyards hyphenates two founding partner surnames in the most personal winemaking tradition — two people's names bound together on every label. Tom and Laurie Clark's Howell Mountain estate carries both their names as a declaration of shared commitment to one of Napa Valley's most structurally demanding mountain appellations.
The Howell Mountain estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon from volcanic red soils at 1,400 to 2,200 feet elevation, where the diurnal temperature swings, volcanic mineral complexity, and stress of mountain viticulture produce wines of unusual concentration and structural power. The altitude keeps the estate above the Napa Valley fog line, extending the growing season and producing fruit of exceptional depth.
Wine Advocate has scored Clark-Claudon's Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon at 92–96 points, placing it among the appellation's most critically acclaimed small estates.
