About Chris Hamilton Cellars
Chris Hamilton Cellars grew out of Texas entrepreneur Chris Hamilton's first visit to Napa Valley in 2009 and a 2010 meeting with grower Andy Hoxey, whose organically and dry-farmed Yountville and Oakville vineyards supplied the label's earliest vintages. Hamilton, whose background spans auto dealerships, restaurants and construction, built the project around Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, including a bottling named Wülf from Oakville fruit.
The label has since rebranded on its own website as Hamilton Wine Collective, run by Chris and Heidi Hamilton at the same Oakville address. Winemaker Sarah Donley, previously of Colgin Cellars and ADAMVS Estate, took over in 2023, following Jeff Ames, who had worked at Rex Hill, Freemark Abbey, Flora Springs, Duckhorn, Outpost and TOR Wines. Tastings remain private and by appointment only.
What began as Chris Hamilton Cellars, built on fruit from grower Andy Hoxey's Yountville and Oakville vineyards, now markets itself as Hamilton Wine Collective.
