About Clos de la Tech

Clos de la Tech is Silicon Valley's boldest wine thesis: that with enough innovation, the Santa Cruz Mountains can produce Grand Cru-caliber Pinot Noir. Founded by TJ and Valeta, the winery embraces the appellation's intimidating terrain, thin soils, and capricious climate as engineering problems worth solving - more risk, more reward - and has spent decades proving the point across three estate domaines.

The vineyards read like a Burgundian map drawn on California mountains: Domaine du Docteur Rodgers, Domaine Valeta with its Sunny Slope Pinot and a rare estate Nebbiolo, and the flagship Domaine Lois Louise with its Twisty Ridge and Cote Sud bottlings, joined by a Santa Cruz Mountains Estates cuvee and even a traditional Alambic brandy. Precision winemaking and site expression drive everything.

The wines pour in one of the coast's most convenient settings: a Main Street tasting room in downtown Half Moon Bay, open seven days a week with generous hours - late till 9 on Thursday through Saturday - plus a wine and cheese pairing experience for a deeper dive.
