About Mindego Ridge Vineyard
Mindego Ridge is 10 acres of vines perched in a theater of redwoods on a south-facing, shale-laced slope just eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Husband-and-wife owners Dave and Stacey Gollnick farm the La Honda estate themselves, with a single mission: 100% estate-grown, single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that authentically express this marine-cooled corner of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Since 2013 the wines have been crafted by Ehren Jordan - the cool-climate virtuoso behind Failla, whose resume runs from a two-year Rhone apprenticeship through Neyers and Turley. Jordan works the fruit in small lots with minimal intervention, and the results carry the balance and finesse of his French training with the mountain vineyard's saline cut. A small Rose rounds out the estate trio.
Visits happen by appointment on the outdoor tasting pavilion overlooking the Chardonnay block: a flight of five owner-selected single-vineyard wines with Dave and Stacey themselves walking you through the farming and the history. Non-member tasting dates are released as ticketed experiences, while allocation members can book seasonal private tours by emailing the winery. Check the website for upcoming dates.
