About DANA Estates
DANA Estates takes its name from the Korean phrase Dang-A Nara — 'Beautiful Country' — abbreviating it to DANA for the label. Hi-Sang Lee's Korean-heritage estate declaration is both cultural identity and aesthetic aspiration: wine that achieves the beautiful country standard, that is worthy of the name's highest meaning.
The Howell Mountain and St. Helena estates produce Cabernet Sauvignon from volcanic mountain and benchland sources — the Helms Vineyard on Howell Mountain, the Onda bottling from St. Helena benchland, and additional single-vineyard bottlings from some of Napa Valley's most exceptional sites. The winemaking team has included Philippe Melka and other world-class consulting winemakers.
Wine Advocate has scored DANA's Helms Vineyard and Onda Cabernet at 95–99 points across multiple vintages, placing the Korean-heritage-named estate among Napa Valley's most consistently near-perfect Cabernet producers.
