About Di Costanzo
Di Costanzo is the personal label of winemaker Massimo Di Costanzo, who brings a Friulian heritage and decades of Napa Valley experience to his own wines. After years as winemaker for some of the valley's most prestigious estates, Di Costanzo launched his own project focused on single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from Oakville and other premier sub-appellations.
Massimo's Italian roots inform his winemaking philosophy — he believes in letting the vineyard speak, using gentle extraction and precise oak aging to frame the fruit rather than dominate it. The single-vineyard approach means each bottling tells a different terroir story, from the gravelly benchland of Oakville to the volcanic hillsides of Atlas Peak. The wines are structured, complex, and age-worthy, reflecting the hand of a winemaker who understands that restraint is often the highest form of artistry.
Di Costanzo wines are produced in very small quantities and available primarily through the mailing list. Tastings are available by appointment in the Oakville area and offer an intimate look at the art of single-vineyard winemaking. The experience is personal and educational, often with Massimo himself pouring and sharing the stories behind each vineyard and each wine.
