The winery's visitor program is tightly controlled and should be described as adult-only rather than broadly family-oriented.
The Fontanella Journey Tasting is $65 plus tax and lasts 75 minutes. It includes four current releases, a barrel-room sample and a small curated cheese plate. Monday through Thursday, the limited Golden Mornings version offers the same core experience for $45 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The $95 Reserve Tour & Tasting focuses on limited mountain Cabernet selections and adds an estate, winery and barrel-room overview.
Appointments are required. The winery is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Journey reservations generally available through 3:30 p.m. No guest under 21 can be accommodated, including infants and children. Outside food and split reservations are not allowed. Groups of nine or more need direct coordination, and the winery requests 24 hours' notice for cancellations.
