About Hyde Vineyards Estate
Larry Hyde began farming this Carneros ground in 1979, when it was little more than windswept pasture and fruit orchards; today Hyde Vineyards spans more than 200 acres across five separate parcels at 1044 Los Carneros Avenue in Napa. The estate winery and tasting room, a purpose-built facility that opened in 2017, sits at the southern, fog-cooled end of Napa Valley within the Carneros AVA.
Hyde has long been known first as a grower, its fruit is sold to more than 35 wineries, while a small estate program showcases Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and other Carneros-suited varieties from vines selected through decades of clonal research. The vineyard benefits from the cooling influence of the nearby Petaluma Gap, with morning fog and afternoon coastal breezes shaping the fruit.
