About JaM Cellars
JaM Cellars is named from the initials of founders John and Michele Truchard — J from John, M from Michele — combined to spell jam, the sweet fruit preserve. The initials-to-word transformation creates a brand that is simultaneously personal (it's the founders' names) and food-friendly (jam pairs naturally with wine culture's artisan food associations).
The downtown Napa First Street tasting room produces Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Butter Chardonnay at accessible everyday pricing. The Butter Chardonnay label in particular has become one of California's most nationally recognized Chardonnay brands, its creamy oak-influenced style appealing to a broad everyday-drinking audience. The extended evening hours and downtown location make JaM one of Napa Valley's most accessible urban tasting experiences.
