K Squared Cellars

K Squared Cellars is a family run urban winery in Windsor, built by Andrew Moore after nine years learning the craft at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena. In 2010 he started with a single barrel of Russian River Pinot Noir made at home, and by 2015 he and his wife Julie, alongside their kids Kaylie and Kyle, had turned that barrel into a working winery and tasting room.

Tastings happen among the barrels and winemaking equipment, with small lot Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Rose, Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel built around the terroir of Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley. Outside food is welcome at the indoor tables, groups and families are accommodated, and an arcade basketball hoop and giant Jenga keep things playful. Reservations are required, though same day appointments are often possible with just thirty minutes notice.
