About Kamen Estate Wines

Kamen Estate is a dramatic mountain winery high on Sonoma Mountain, the passion project of Hollywood screenwriter Robert Kamen, known for The Karate Kid and Taken. Planted beginning in 1980 on rugged, rocky ground at around 1,400 feet, the organically and biodynamically farmed estate yields powerful, structured, distinctly mountain-grown wines, above all Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, plus a notable Sauvignon Blanc.

The estate itself is remote and spectacular, but tastings are easy to reach at Kamen's tasting lounge on the Sonoma plaza. Expect bold, concentrated wines with a real sense of their wild, high-elevation origin, and a story that connects blockbuster screenwriting to serious mountain viticulture. It is a compelling stop for lovers of big, site-driven Sonoma reds.
