About Kelley & Young Wines

Kelley & Young Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery in the warm northern Alexander Valley, founded in 2006 by husband-and-wife team Jim Young and Kathleen Kelley Young to share their love of good food and exceptional wine. Jim is the vineyard manager and CEO of the family's Robert Young Vineyards, farmed by the Young family since 1858, and he hand-selects the specific blocks that go into Kelley & Young, growing the fruit with the finished wine in mind.

The result is a small, food-friendly lineup, Sauvignon Blanc, a Rose, Zinfandel, Malbec and Pinot Noir, made in the range of 1,500 to 1,700 cases and aimed at complexity without a high-end price. When Kathleen passed away in 2021, her daughters Madeline and Courtney took up her legacy alongside Jim, and the winery supports cancer research through the Kathleen Rose Fund.

Tastings are personal and often paired with small plates, and the family also runs the Kelley & Young Wine Garden Inn, making it easy to turn a visit into an overnight stay in the heart of the valley.
