About Ketcham Estate
Ketcham Estate is a woman-owned boutique winery perched on a bluff overlooking the Russian River Valley near Healdsburg, known above all for exceptional Pinot Noir. It was founded by Mark Ketcham, a Burgundy lover who set out to find the perfect Pinot site after selling his computer company; today it is owned and managed by Allie Ketcham.
The heart of it is a 13-acre estate vineyard planted back in 1973, long before Pinot defined the region, with half-century-old vines rooted in the same prized terroir that has supplied Rochioli and Williams Selyem. The winemaking pedigree runs deep, too: Michael Browne of Kosta Browne made Ketcham's first three vintages and set up the entire program. The flagship Five Clone and Allie's Reserve Pinots blend the vineyard's clones into acclaimed, high-scoring wines, alongside a Rose of Pinot, Chardonnay, Viognier and an Alexander Valley Cabernet.
Visits are private and by appointment, savored at the estate overlooking the vines, and the winery hosts memorable wine salons, an intimate, personal way to experience one of the Russian River's under-the-radar gems.
