About Mill Creek Vineyards

Mill Creek Vineyards is a genuine Dry Creek Valley pioneer, family-owned and operated by the founding Kreck family since 1965, the year they planted some of the earliest Cabernet in what is now a celebrated appellation. After tending the vines for nearly a decade, converting old prune orchards into vineyards, they made their first vintage in 1974 and have produced wine every year since.

Four generations of Krecks have been involved, from vineyard to cellar to hospitality, and today Bill and Yvonne Kreck's son Jeremy serves as both winemaker and vineyard manager. The wines are estate-grown and Bordeaux-focused, Cabernet, Merlot and more, plus Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Zinfandel, Syrah and Port, made mostly from estate fruit and certified under California's sustainable winegrowing program. Roughly 10,000 cases a year have earned Sweepstakes and Best of Class honors.

A landmark at the southern entrance to Dry Creek Valley, the tasting room, built by the family in 1982 and modeled on an old wood mill, complete with a working water wheel and millpond, offers two picnic areas and sweeping valley views. It's open daily, walk-ins welcome.
