Niner Wine Estates at 2400 Highway 46 West farms two distinct Paso Robles estate properties, Bootjack Ranch on the calcareous Westside and Heart Hill on the warmer Eastside, providing access to the full range of Paso Robles terroir expression across both sides of the appellation's famous temperature and geological divide. Founded in 2001 by Richard and Pam Niner, the estate has built a reputation for sustainable farming, consistent quality, and wines that showcase the differences between Paso Robles' two dramatically different growing environments.
Bootjack Ranch on the Westside provides calcareous limestone soils and marine cooling that produce the estate's most structured and mineral-influenced wines, while Heart Hill on the Eastside contributes warm-climate richness and concentration. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese are the estate's strongest suits, with the Sangiovese program earning consistent critical recognition as a California benchmark for Italian varieties on the Central Coast.
Walk-ins are welcome daily from 10am to 5pm with a $20 starting fee. The Highway 46 West tasting room provides easy access from Highway 101 and an informative introduction to the two-estate story that defines the Niner program.
