About Perliss Estate Vineyard
Perliss Estate Vineyards is a small, family-owned estate in the far northern reaches of Napa Valley, near Knights Valley and just south of the Sonoma County line. What began as Herbert Perliss's weekend retreat property became a working vineyard when vines were planted on the Ravens Vineyard in 2008, with the family's first commercial release following in 2011.
The estate farms a 2.6-acre volcanic-knoll site organically and by hand, working with respected Napa winemaker Aaron Pott, who helped design the vineyard and select clones. Production is tiny (a few hundred cases a year) and includes single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (The Ravens, Pearl of the Ravens), skin-contact and traditional Sémillon (Snakeskin, Serpents), and experimental bottlings such as Corvus Pacificum, a Cabernet aged with an infusion of Pacific Ocean water.
