About Pestoni Family Estate Winery
Pestoni Family Estate Winery traces its roots to 1882, when Albino Pestoni emigrated from Switzerland to Napa Valley; by 1892 he and his family had planted their first vineyard and established Bonded Winery No. 935. After generations of selling grapes to other producers, Bob and Sylvia Pestoni revived the family winemaking tradition in 1994, opening what was then called Rutherford Grove Winery; the estate was renamed Pestoni Family Estate Winery in 2017 to mark 125 years of Napa Valley winemaking.
The winery and tasting room sit on Highway 29 at the St. Helena/Rutherford line, drawing fruit from four family-owned vineyards: the historic Pestoni Ranch and an estate vineyard in Rutherford, the Three Tears Vineyard on Howell Mountain, and Quackenbush Mountain Vineyard in Lake County. The portfolio spans Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc and Sangiovese to mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Barbera.
