Peter Franus Wine Company

Peter Franus Wine Company is a Napa Valley wine producer, established in 1993. A 'virtual winery' with no estate of its own, built on four decades of Mount Veeder's century-old Brandlin Vineyard fruit. Peter Franus started as a viticulturist on Mount Veeder and spent a decade as head winemaker at Mt. Veeder Winery before launching his own label in 1987.

The winery operates as a négociant-style 'virtual winery,' producing its wines at the Laird Family Estate facility north of Napa rather than an owned property. Franus's best-known bottlings, a Cabernet Sauvignon and an award-winning Zinfandel, come from the century-old Brandlin Vineyard on Mount Veeder, planted in the 1920s.
