Pine Mountain Vineyards farms in the Pine Mountain-Cloverdale Peak AVA above Alexander Valley, one of the highest elevation appellations in California, where vineyards climb well past two thousand feet on the Sonoma and Mendocino county line.
Mountain grown Cabernet is the calling card, and the tasting and vineyard tour offer shows off the altitude. Sonoma County tasting is famously relaxed, but small producers keep small hours. Confirm current hours, tasting fees and reservation policies with the winery before you go.
