About Portola Vineyards

Portola Vineyards exists to preserve the tradition of fine winemaking on the San Francisco Peninsula. Since 2005 the family has grown and hand-crafted vintages that speak for the Peninsula foothills' terroir - local wine for a local community, made minutes from Stanford and the heart of Silicon Valley on Los Trancos Road.

The lineup centers on estate fruit: a 91-point Estate Pinot Noir layered with dark fruit, spice, cocoa, and wild mushroom; a refreshing Estate Rosé; and a dry-yet-fruity Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay. A simple wine club - 20% off everything with a 12-bottle annual commitment - keeps most of the production in neighborhood cellars.

Visits run by reservation, and summer brings the winery's signature tradition: the Summer Jazz series, outdoor concerts beside the vineyard with a tasting of current releases included, picnics encouraged, music from 6 to 7:30 and gates open 5 to 8.
