About Seven Stones Winery
Seven Stones Winery is an ultra-small, appointment-only Cabernet Sauvignon producer on a steep hillside above Meadowood Resort in the hills east of St. Helena. Founders Ron and Anita Wornick planted just over an acre of vines here in 1996, intending only to make wine for their own family, before the quality of the fruit convinced them to release a first commercial vintage in 2005.
Winemaker Aaron Pott, who trained in Burgundy and made wine at Bordeaux's Château Troplong Mondot before returning to Napa, has made every vintage since 2007 from the property's roughly three acres, producing just 300 to 500 cases a year of a single Cabernet Sauvignon.
