About Sherwin Family Vineyards
Sherwin Family Vineyards is a small, family-run estate at the top of Spring Mountain, founded by Steve and Linda Sherwin after they purchased 30 acres there in 1996. Their first wine, a 1996 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, was released in 1999 in a run of just 140 cases.
The winery was destroyed in the September 2020 Glass Fire, which burned the entire building along with the family's 2019 vintage. The Sherwins rebuilt, and son Matt Sherwin, who grew up on the property, now serves as General Manager and winemaker alongside his father.
