About Venteux Vineyards
Venteux, French for windy, names its terroir honestly: the estate sits in the Templeton Gap wind corridor of the Willow Creek District, where a 22-acre dry-farmed vineyard surrounds a boutique winery founded in 2003 and long run with a family, hands-on ethos. The house is one of the region's few native-yeast producers, applying old-world technique to estate Petite Sirah and Syrah, the signatures, alongside single varietals and blends of distinct character.
The property doubles as one of Templeton's most relaxed hangs: a Southern-charm farmhouse with wraparound porch, lawn games among the vines, dog-and-family-friendly picnicking and a summer Friday concert series on the estate stage. Ownership records list the Stelzle and Goldenberg families behind the operation, and the combination of dry-farmed seriousness and porch-pace hospitality keeps Venteux on shortlists of the Gap's must-visits.
