Villa Creek is a west-Paso Robles winery born from a restaurant: Cris and JoAnn Cherry ran a well-loved Paso eatery before turning fully to wine. Today the focus is their organically and biodynamically farmed Maha Estate in the Willow Creek District, and characterful, natural-leaning wines from Rhone and Spanish varieties like Grenache, Mourvedre, and Tempranillo.
The food-and-wine sensibility shows in wines built for the table, savory and balanced rather than overblown. Personal and thoughtful, Villa Creek rewards drinkers looking for genuine, terroir-driven Paso wine off the well-trodden path.
