About Via Vega Vineyard & Winery

Via Vega Vineyard & Winery takes its name from the Spanish, via vega, 'the way of the meadow' or 'meadow road', a topographic and poetic declaration that places the estate on a specific path through agricultural valley landscape. The Spanish naming honors the region's colonial history (Paso Robles itself a Spanish name) while declaring the estate's connection to the meadow terrain that characterizes this corner of the El Pomar District.

The estate focuses on Tempranillo and Grenache alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, the Spanish variety at the center of the estate's identity, connecting the via vega name to a wine grape whose greatest expressions come from the Iberian meadow roads of Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Tempranillo in Paso Robles' warm calcareous soils produces wines with the generous, earthy character that the Spanish valley variety naturally expresses.

The walk-in tasting room on Union Road is dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, and family-hospitable.
