About Wattle Creek Winery

Wattle Creek Winery is one of the most northerly tasting rooms in the Alexander Valley, situated near Cloverdale at the very top of the appellation, where the Russian River narrows and the valley floor gives way to the foothills. The winery takes its name from the Wattle tree (Acacia), a symbol of Australia that connects the founding family to their Southern Hemisphere roots.

The wines themselves are very much of the Alexander Valley, warm, generous Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Syrah from estate and sourced vineyards that show the full-bodied, approachable character that this warm, inland appellation reliably produces. Expedia's Trentadue travel page lists Wattle Creek as one of the notable nearby Geyserville/Cloverdale area wineries.

The combination of northerly Alexander Valley terroir, Australian-inspired hospitality, and reliably walk-in-friendly policy makes Wattle Creek an excellent discovery for visitors exploring beyond the Healdsburg corridor into the quieter upper reaches of Alexander Valley.

At its Cloverdale, Sonoma County location, Wattle Creek Winery presents a featured lineup that includes Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Rosé. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.

"Alexander Valley Cabernet and Chardonnay with an Australian twist, the Wattle tree on every label connects the estate to founders' Australian heritag"
