About Amulet Estate
Amulet Estate occupies a 20-acre property in the hills above St. Helena, with roughly five planted acres farmed by Barbour Vineyards that straddle two appellations, a lower block on the St. Helena valley floor and an upper block in the Howell Mountain AVA at about 1,700 feet. Farming has transitioned to organic practices, and total production is a boutique 1,000 to 1,500 cases a year, sold primarily through the estate's allocation list.
The property has lived several lives: developed as Dancing Hares with a winery completed in 2009, renamed Tuck Beckstoffer Estate in 2016, and given the Amulet name, from the Latin amuletum, "an object that provides good fortune", under new ownership in early 2021. Visits are a single private tour-and-tasting format, by appointment through Tock.
