About Beaucanon Estate
Beaucanon Estate carries nine generations of Bordeaux winemaking history: the de Coninck family traces its roots to Saint-Émilion in the mid-1740s. Jacques de Coninck arrived in Napa Valley in 1978 and began producing under the Beaucanon name in 1986, originally at a Rutherford winery on Highway 29, a building that later housed Provenance Vineyards and now belongs to Far Niente's Bella Union.
Since the 1990s the estate has been based at Longwood Ranch on Monticello Road east of Napa, a 94-acre property with roughly 80 acres of dry-farmed, organically farmed vines, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon clones. Jacques's children Louis and Chantal run the winery today, Louis has made the wine since the first harvest, producing about 12,000 cases meant, by family philosophy, to be everyday wines at reasonable prices.
