About Bethel Heights Vineyard
Bethel Heights is Eola-Amity Hills scripture: twin brothers Ted and Terry Casteel and their families planted the estate in 1977, among the first vines in what became one of Oregon's greatest Pinot Noir districts, and the second generation, winemaker Ben Casteel at the fore, now farms the same south-facing blocks their parents cleared.
The Casteel Reserve Pinot ranks among Oregon's benchmark bottlings, and estate tastings overlook vines whose age few Willamette neighbors can match. Two brothers planted it; the family argument still wins.
