Bulldog Vineyards is named for the breed — the English bulldog, the dog whose total stubbornness and refusal to release what it has clamped onto is both celebrated and legendary. The bulldog's tenacity is the winemaking philosophy: once committed to a quality standard, never releasing, never compromising, never accepting adequate as good enough.

The St. Helena estate produces Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from estate and purchased vineyard sources with the bulldog's total commitment applied to every decision — farming, harvest timing, cellar work, and the patience required to never release a wine before it's ready.
