About Corison Winery

Corison Winery is a small working winery on the benchland between Rutherford and St. Helena, known for Cabernet Sauvignon built around balance, vineyard character and the ability to age. The property's Victorian-style barn and Kronos Vineyard create a setting that feels personal and production-oriented rather than designed for large visitor volume.

The current-release tasting introduces Cathy Corison's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and other wines available at the time of the visit. The library experience adds older vintages and may include a seasonal walk into Kronos Vineyard, giving guests a direct comparison between current and mature wines. The exact vintages and outdoor access depend on the reservation and conditions.

Visits are offered daily by appointment, generally between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The library tasting is currently listed at $125 and can be waived under stated bottle-purchase or membership terms. Entry tasting pricing and waiver rules should be checked on the live page. Guests should not assume that every reservation includes the library flight or vineyard walk.

The Highway 29 address is easy to reach, but the small scale rewards punctual arrival and a measured schedule. Visitors interested in production should remember that winery activity can affect which spaces are available. Comfortable shoes are useful if the reservation includes the vineyard.

Corison is a strong choice for serious Cabernet drinkers, visitors who value a small working-winery setting and travelers curious about how Napa wines develop over time. The Wino Notion page should remain factual and restrained, reflecting the producer's focused identity without unsupported superlatives. Current-release and library appointments need separate descriptions so guests select the experience that matches their interests.

Cathy Corison has crafted Napa Valley Cabernet under 14% alcohol since 1987, long before restraint was fashionable.

"Wino Notion likes Corison's focused, small-winery perspective. The current and library tastings give Cabernet drinkers a meaningful way to compare youth and maturity, while Kronos Vineyard keeps the discussion connected to an actual estate site."
