Croze Winery — Russian River Valley Winery & Tasting Room

Croze Winery takes its name from the croze — the groove cut into the inside of a barrel's head (the circular end piece) that allows the barrel's staves to be locked in place. The croze is the most precise element of cooperage: the groove must be cut to exact depth and angle for the barrel to hold liquid without leaking. The croze philosophy declares winemaking precision applied to the barrel program: exactly the right oak, exactly the right toast level, exactly the right time in wood for the specific wine. The Russian River Valley boutique produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from contracted vineyard sources.
