About Croze Winery
Croze, also known as Croze Napa Valley, is a boutique family wine brand from Napa Valley led by longtime Napa winemaker Gary Wooten. Cabernet Sauvignon focused and made in an old-world, balance-driven style, Croze became known for holding its wines back and releasing them with extra bottle age, so current vintages often ran several years older than the market norm.
Wooten also produced a sibling label, Smith-Wooten, and over the years Croze grew to a few thousand cases with distribution across many states. The wines emphasized a sense of place from individual Napa vineyards, with Cabernet Sauvignon at the core alongside bottlings such as Sauvignon Blanc and, at times, a barrel-aged Cabernet port-style wine.
Croze is a small Napa Valley label. Public listings suggest the brand has wound down and no longer maintains an active tasting room, so anyone seeking Croze wines should verify current availability directly.
