About Hinman Vineyards
Hinman Vineyards, also known as Silvan Ridge, is one of the pioneer wineries of the southern Willamette Valley, founded in 1979 by Doyle Hinman. The estate sits on Briggs Hill outside Eugene and has been producing wines for more than four decades, making it one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in the region. The portfolio spans Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Muscat, and a celebrated Early Muscat Semi-Sparkling that has become a signature wine.
The tasting room on Briggs Hill Road shares the hillside with neighboring Sweet Cheeks Winery, and the two estates together have turned this quiet lane into a wine destination. Hinman's long history, accessible pricing, and broad portfolio make it an excellent starting point for visitors exploring the southern valley's wine country.
