About Honig Vineyard & Winery
Honig Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned Rutherford property known for Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with sustainability woven into the visitor story. Hospitality takes place through several distinct reservations rather than one universal tasting. That structure gives travelers useful options, but it also means that family, pet, food and age policies must be attached to the correct experience.
The 30-minute Fly By Flight is $30 and includes three wines for guests 21 and older. The Terrace Tasting is $40 and presents current releases in a relaxed seated format, with an optional single-vineyard Cabernet pour. A separate morning Family Terrace keeps the adult tasting price at $40 and adds a $10 charge for children over twelve months, including juice and a snack. The Reserve Room AVA Experience is $115 with Cabernet, a library pour, cheese and charcuterie.
Honig is open daily by appointment from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Standard Terrace reservations do not permit children, while the Family Terrace is offered before noon. Children must remain at the table. The general FAQ welcomes well-behaved dogs, but the Reserve Room explicitly allows no children or pets and requires 48 hours' advance booking. Food is not permitted on the Terrace; first-come picnic tables provide a separate place for food.
Honig fits several itinerary types when the reservation is matched correctly. Time-conscious adults can use Fly By, first-time visitors can choose the Terrace, families have a genuine morning option and Cabernet enthusiasts can reserve the elevated AVA comparison. The Rutherford location is easy to pair with nearby appointments while still feeling set among vineyards rather than on a downtown block.
Count children and non-tasters, reserve the designated family format when needed and ask where a dog can be seated for the selected experience. Do not bring food to the Terrace table. Groups of ten to twenty use a separate Group Garden program and must contact hospitality. The page should avoid marking every Honig reservation family-friendly or pet-friendly because the Reserve Room and standard Terrace have stricter rules.
Family-run since 1964, Honig farms its 68-acre Rutherford estate organically and has eliminated foil capsules across production.

"Wino Notion likes Honig's practical range of choices, especially the short $30 Fly By and the purpose-built morning Family Terrace. The winery makes Rutherford hospitality more adaptable without weakening the adult-only standards of its reserve program."
