About Levy & McClellan
Levy & McClellan combines the surnames of two Napa Valley winemakers: Bob Levy, who served as head winemaker at Far Niente for decades (producing the estate's consistently acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay), and David McClellan. Their surnames joined on a label declare two accumulated winemaking careers combined into one personal Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon project.
The dual winemaker-surname tradition in California wine is relatively rare — most winemaker-named labels carry a single name. Levy & McClellan's partnership declaration is a specific kind of accountability: not one person but two, both their reputations on every bottle, both their judgment informing every winemaking decision.
Wine Advocate has scored Levy & McClellan's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon at 92–95 points, recognizing the quality of the sourcing and the combined decades of Far Niente-caliber winemaking experience applied to the partners' personal project.
