About Liparita Cellars
Liparita Cellars was a Napa Valley wine brand historically tied to a stone winery on Howell Mountain near Las Posadas Road, producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and other bottlings from the late 1970s/1980s through the 2000s and into the early 2010s.
In 2006, Spencer Hoopes of Hoopes Vineyard (Oakville) purchased the Liparita brand, though not the original Howell Mountain winery building, which still stands near the entrance to Las Posadas Road. According to The Napa Wine Project, Hoopes no longer bottles wine under the Liparita label, grapes once used for Liparita are now folded into Hoopes' own Cabernet Sauvignon program.
