About Lewis Cellars
Lewis Cellars was founded in 1992 by Randy and Debbie Lewis. Randy, a former professional race car driver who competed in Formula Three, Formula 5000 and five Indianapolis 500s, turned to winemaking after a serious 1991 racing crash; Debbie, his wife and business partner, passed away in early 2017. In September 2021, the winery was sold to JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, part of The Wonderful Company (owned by Stewart and Lynda Resnick), which added it to its luxury wine portfolio.
Lewis Cellars does not own vineyards, instead sourcing fruit from premium Napa Valley sites in Calistoga, St. Helena, Rutherford and Oak Knoll, plus Chardonnay from Sonoma's Russian River Valley, while dictating clones, rootstocks and farming decisions. The house style favors warm, quick fermentation and late picking for rich, opulent, full-flavored Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. In October 2025, under its new ownership, Lewis Cellars opened an all-new, immersive tasting room at 6320 Silverado Trail in Napa.
