About Love & Squalor Wines
Love and Squalor is an Oregon label from winemaker Matt Berson, focused on expressive, cool-climate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir along with Riesling. The name comes from J.D. Salinger's story about love and squalor, and it captures the winery's welcoming, unpretentious spirit.
Berson takes a hands-off approach, adding and removing as little as possible to let the fruit and vintage speak, resulting in bright, food-friendly, energetic wines. Made in small quantities in Portland from northern Willamette Valley fruit, they reward drinkers who appreciate honest, place-driven Pinot Noir and Riesling.
