About Metzker Family Estates
Metzker Family Estates was founded in 2014 by Mike Metzker, a geneticist and biotech entrepreneur, together with his wife Jill and son Cameron. Rather than farming a single estate vineyard, the family sources fruit from a portfolio of respected sites across Napa and Sonoma counties, with a business address at 820 Randolph Street in the city of Napa.
Winemaker John Martin, who studied viticulture and enology at UC Davis and has worked at Paul Hobbs, Chalk Hill, and Sebastiani, crafts small-lot Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards spanning Spring Mountain, Howell Mountain, Russian River Valley, and Sonoma Coast. The label's reserve-tier Cabernets come from its most sought-after mountain sites.
