Mira Winery

Mira Winery was founded in 2009 under proprietor Jim "Bear" Dyke Jr., and has built a reputation with dozens of wines rated 90 points or higher by major critics. Its public tasting room, however, has operated at 6170 Washington Street in Yountville rather than in St. Helena, and that Yountville listing appears as "closed" on Yelp as of mid-2026, so current visiting arrangements should be confirmed directly with the winery.

The winery makes single-vineyard, single-varietal wines from sustainably farmed, 100% Napa Valley fruit, with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, known for multiple 100-point scores, joining Mira starting with the 2023 vintage. Mira also owns one of only twelve egg-shaped "Ovum" wooden fermenters in existence, a vessel built to the Golden Ratio that allows natural must movement without pumping.
