About Miner Family Winery
Miner Family Winery was founded in 1996 by Dave and Emily Miner, who met while both working at Oakville Ranch Vineyards in the early 1990s. Dave left a software career to run the winery, which is built into the eastern hills of Oakville with sweeping views of the valley floor.
The winery farms and partners with premier hillside sites, including Stagecoach Vineyard above Oakville, crafting each wine to reflect its specific vineyard source. Its flagship, The Oracle - a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot first released in 2001 - anchors a lineup that also includes Emily's Cuvée, a tribute Cabernet named for co-founder Emily Miner, who died in 2011, with proceeds supporting cancer research.
