About Michael Mondavi Family Estate
Michael Mondavi, who co-founded Robert Mondavi Winery with his father in 1966 and served as its winemaker through 1974 and later as president and CEO, launched his own family label in 1999 with wife Isabel and children Rob Jr. and Dina, starting with an Atlas Peak vineyard called Animo. The family sold Robert Mondavi Winery to Constellation Brands in 2004 and built Folio Fine Wine Partners the same year to market their own wines alongside imported family estates from around the world.
Michael Mondavi Family Estate produces Emblem, M, and Isabel Mondavi wines from sustainably farmed vineyards, guided by grandmother Rosa Mondavi's philosophy of making wine that invites people back for a second glass. Winemakers Sabrina Massola and Rob Mondavi Jr. continue the program today.
