About Moone-Tsai Vineyards
Moone-Tsai Wines was founded by MaryAnn Tsai and Larry Moone together with original partner Mike Moone (a former president of Beringer Wine Estates and Luna Vineyards), releasing a first vintage in 2006; the Tsai/Moone family later bought out Mike Moone's stake. The winery's address is 3111 St. Helena Highway North in St. Helena, not Oakville, though it sources fruit from prized vineyards across the valley.
Moone-Tsai draws grapes from some of Napa's most heralded sites, including To Kalon in Oakville, Pritchard Hill, Coombsville, Bald Mountain on Mount Veeder, and Howell Mountain, producing limited-production Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Bordeaux-style blends, its Howell Mountain Hillside Blend is a signature wine. The winery is not open to walk-in visitors; private tastings are hosted by appointment at Brasswood Estate near St. Helena, and the wines are also poured through Vintner's Collective in downtown Napa.
