Mt. Brave

Mt. Brave is a Mount Veeder AVA estate brand owned by Jackson Family Wines, part of the company's Spire Collection of high-elevation, single-appellation wines. The name is a tribute to the settlers who worked the rugged terrain of Mount Veeder in the 1800s, and the label draws fruit from a high-altitude estate vineyard in the AVA's steep, sparse-soiled terrain. It is a distinct producer from both Mount Veeder Winery (Constellation-owned) and Mount Veeder Magic Vineyards, despite the shared mountain and AVA name.

Winemaker Christopher Carpenter oversees Mt. Brave, working with some of the lowest yields in Napa Valley to concentrate flavor from the estate's steep, panoramic-view vineyard sites. The portfolio centers on Bordeaux varieties well-suited to Mount Veeder's mountain terroir: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc.
